Inquest Into Death of Anna Nicole's Son

Anna Nicole Smith: Exclusive DetailsThe Coroner in the Bahamas will conduct a formal inquest into the death of Anna Nicole Smith's son. TMZ has learned one of the witnesses will testify that Howard K. Stern gave Anna's son one of the drugs that killed him.

The inquest will be held on March 26. We're told more than 20 witnesses will be called, including Smith and Stern. A source in the coroner's office says one of the witnesses will testify that Stern allegedly gave Daniel methadone. And we're told that the witness will testify that Stern flushed the remaining methadone down the toilet after Daniel died.

Daniel was found dead in the hospital room in which Anna Nicole had given birth. He had a combination of seven drugs in his system, including multiple anti-depressants and methadone.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the police have interviewed both Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern in connection with Daniel's death.

The Coroner made a quick decision to hold the inquiry after getting the police file on the case last Friday.

A call to Stern was not immediately returned.

79. So many of you are saying "HKS & ANS are married", since when? A commitment ceremony does not a wedding make! NOPE! Unless they are legally married, which I doubt, they can be made to testify against one another.

Lastly, all I can say is...about freakin' time! I hope that the truth is found out! I think that both of them are slimier than slime! My only sympathy goes to Danilynn. No one else. I'm sure that whoever gave Daniel the drugs didn't have to go far at all to get them! Probably just to ANS...whatta druggie mess!

80. I have had my own theory on who fathered Dannilyn, but it's such a sick idea I haven't posted it before now. It makes little sense to me that ANS is avoiding the paternity test because of LB, but it would make sense if the father of that little girl was also her half brother. I cannot shake the ice cold feeling I had when I saw the birth video (for just a couple minutes, I couldn;t handle more than that) and the first thing ANS said when she saw the baby was "She looks just like Daniel". Why would the baby look just like Daniel, they had different fathers.
Just my own weird theory, do not bite me, ok?

81. Doesn't anybody remember the night Daniel was "murdered"...HKS got all three of them food, heh thats when he sprinkled Daniels meal with the methadone. That Cyril Wecht who did the autopsy and said it was accidental should be hung with that dirtbag Stern!!! Can't wait for the pair of them to be wearing those orange jumpsuits. 82. I saw ..a special shocking moments of ANS..can't believe what a skank she is, hope Ben get's his house back soon, from what I hear they may have trashed the place... she's too spaced out to clean...I guess her previous dwellings were a bit nasty as well....
This could go on for a very............. long time, authorities really need to consider the safety of that baby...if her supposed parent(s) are involved in an inquest.in the death of her brother...things that make you go hummmmmmmmm

86. Just came in from work and checked the boards and seen this and I am sooooo happy, I am beside myself. At least something is happening and hopefully there will be justice for Daniel. It is like one, two three with the house, paternity and now the inquest. Its about friggin time and my prayers and the hard work and diligence, info, research etc.that was done by many, I believe was a factor in this. Many of us did not give up hope and continue to believe justice will prevail. Great posts to the Stars on here that have been blogging all along. Woooooohoooooo!!!

87. She doesn't want the paternity test because if Larry Birkhead is the father, and if he gets custudy of the little girl, she will have to pay child support. Child support that will go up significantly if she gets the millions from her dead husband. That is partly why she is forming this fake union with the weezle. In the Bahamas, if you're married, the male spouse is considered legally the father. The other reason is they hope to not have to testify against eachother. I think Stern, besides his thriving law practice, dabbles in untrained pharmacology and untrained medicine and gave something to Daniel to help him sleep. God only knows which drug, and in what amount, the village idiot Stern gave him. Unfortunately, between it being another country, like Natalee Holloway case in Aruba where money talks even more than in the US, and the clever maneuvers of the deceitful law Stern knows , I don't think the truth will ever come out.

90. YES!!! Finally HKS & ANS will get their due.

My guess would be as this hearing gets closer they each go into their own private 'survival mode'. It''ll be interesting to see if they end up testifying against each other.
