J.Lo Hospital On Alert to Thwart Babynapping

Jennifer LopezTMZ has learned that the Long Island hospital where J.Lo will probably give birth to her twins is practicing "pink drills" -- code for thwarting a possible kidnapping.

Sources at North Shore Medical Center tell TMZ the hospital conducted a "Code Pink" drill last Friday -- "Code Pink" is code for locking down the hospital to prevent a kidnapping attempt.

A rep for North Shore confirmed that the pink drill did indeed go down, but said that the timing is just a coincidence, but that's not what our sources are saying.

16. This isn't news. All hospitals that deliver and care for newborns and their mothers have Code Pink drills and tight security to prevent infant abductions, even the hospitals that aren't visited by celebrities.

22. They did a similar drill while I was actually in the hospital after having my first daughter. They locked the whole place down and went through the rooms checking the baby's bracelet number with the mothers. Unfortunately newborn kidnapping is common and something we should be concerned about. I think it's more likely someone would kidnap an 'unknown' child than JLo's.

29. I think that the code pink isn't concidential, but also not per say for JLo. I think the hospital is thinking that it would be a perfect time for someone to try and steal a baby. With all the media and possible "crazy" fans around, it would be possible for someone to get in who doesn't belong and take someone's baby. Yes there are precautions in place, I just had a baby and his band came off easily. So nothins is fool proof and there should always be a plan in place in case something goes wrong. You would want that if god forbid something like that would happen to you.

30. Code Pink drills are practiced at most hospitals, just like code red (fire), and the disaster drills. I really doubt they are doing a code pink drill just in preparation for J-Lo. Nice attempt at a story.
